The organization was founded by Christine Hemmingsen in 1883 as a way to provide social and financial aid to fellow Danes who immigrated to America. Today, our lodge continues to support the heritage and culture of the Danish people.

An informal greeting of greeting of hello in Denmark can be said as hej or davs. You could also say hej to say good-bye!
